Twenty-seventeen is over. Some are saying “Thank Goddess!” whilst others are not fussed either way because 2017 was not fraught with worries and fears for them and they expect no less from 2018. I’m happy for them. I am one of the ones saying, “Thank Goddess” …although, I can at least admit to 2017 having some good moments for myself. I am one of those who cling like mad to a good memory lest I allow a few rotten apples to colour my perceptions entirely.
I was nearly going to re-hash all the drama from the last year, both personally and politically, but no one really wants to start off a new year with a lot of whinging…that would be counter-productive and I see no reason to do so. Besides, I wouldn’t want to possibly colour your perceptions right off the pitch. It seems we should spend more time trying to boost each other up, not add more fuel to some people’s flames.
So, this year, this bright, shiny new year, I wish for all of you to succeed. Whatever your endeavour, I hope you are successful. I hope you sell the book you’re writing…or that your small business takes off and starts bringing you the income you hope for…or that you finally graduate from Uni… whatever your number one goal for this new year, I hope you attain it. I hope you will hold on to that memory and seal it in your mind for all time so that should you have a wobble in the future and feel that your year has been rubbish, just remember that you can be successful. Yes, it takes a lot of work. Still, if we don’t begin, we’ll never get there, will we?
Warmest blessings and hope and good health and prosperity to all. Happy 2018!
